Learn how to baby proof your bathroom
Congratulations on bringing home your bundle of joy, even though now your little one is dependent on you, it’s necessary you baby proof your bathroom as your baby will soon start crawling and walking.
You will of course start by putting safety tapes on naked wires and keeping breakable things and medicines out of your baby’s reach, but you should also look out for the hazards that are lurking in the bathroom.
You should have a skid proof mat on the tiles, which will prevent your daredevil from falling even if he starts running around. Same goes with your bath tub; you should put a slip resistant tub, so your child does not slip.
Invest in a childproof lock, it’s cheap and easily found. This will prevent your child getting locked in the bathroom alone as these locks can be only be opened with the strength of an adult. These locks should be put on both the sides of the door.
Install a toilet seat which can reset itself when the seat is lowered and lastly water in the house should be set to a temperature of 120 Fahrenheit which is warm enough for showers and bath.
