Floorboard sanding is a technique to repair one’s flooring with the use of abrasive materials. By floorboard sanding, one can very effectively renovate flooring and can bring back the fresh look.

Sanding needs a preparation before the actual procedure is started. Preparation is a step that is followed to level the surface. The uneven surfaces such as screws, nails and joints are leveled so that they don’t damage the sanding machines.

After the floor is prepared sanding process begins. Sanding is done to remove old coatings by the use of coarse grain paper which frictions out the old surface and dirt. It also balances the board. Then a finishing machine is used to bring out the final surface.

Sanding is followed by coating process when the sanded surface is coated with sealants like polyurethane and other suitable oils to bring out the new surface. One should try to wear face masks while coating surface as these materials can be harmful to one’s health.
